Silver Samurai gave his owners in the ‘What A Time To Be Alive’ syndicate their first ever winner on Thursday when landing the EBF Novice Stakes at Brighton thanks to a brilliant ride by jockey Daniel Muscutt.
The two year old, son of Cable Bay was having just his third career start to date after placing in both of his previous starts to date. Silver Samurai tracked the leading pair, before making smooth headway to challenge around two furlongs out before taking the lead comfortably inside final furlong and going on to win by by four and a half lengths.
