It was a successful Saturday at Wolverhampton for the team at Prestige Place with a two year old double on the evening. Al Asef landed the opening race the 32Red Casino Novice Stakes by three and quarter lengths to the second placed horse Midsummer Knight. The son of Kyllachy broke his maiden tag on his third start for owners Raed El Youssef. The colt will now be put away for the winter and will be readied to start his three year old campaign next season.

The second winner of the evening came in division two of the 32Red.com EBF Novice Stakes, this time Jellmood landed the spoils to win the race by a neck to the second placed horse Swiss Knight. The colt picked up the plus 10 bonus of £10,000 for the win, carrying the renowned silks of owner Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum.

Prestige Place also sent out two runners in the Betway Free Bet Club Handicap at 8.45pm on Saturday. The AlMohamediya Racing owned gelding, Al Hamdany ran a gutsy race to finish a neck behind the eventually winner Castlelyons. The son of Kodiac was closely followed by stablemate Crowned Eagle who finished in third place on his first start for owners Excel Racing & Les Boyer.
