Malotru excited in his seasonal debut when landing the Spring Cup Stakes (Listed Race) at Lingfield Park in impressive fashion over the weekend. The son of Casamento was slowly into stride and hampered soon after start, before being switched left by jockey Andrea Atzeni before being shaken up to take lead well inside final furlong and go on to win by 3 1/4 lengths to the second placed horse Raaeb.
Malotru is now the winner of 3 races from 5 starts to date and looks to be an extremely exciting prospect for owners The Honorable Earle I Mack & Les Boyer for the season ahead.
