Raven’s Lady landed her second group victory on Sunday in the Group 2 Goldene Peitsche at Baden-Baden. The daughter of Raven’s Pass was coming of the back of her last Group win in the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York back in July.
Raven’s Lady was towards the rear in the early stages of the 6f contest and was soon nudged along by jockey Gerald Mosse. She was ridden along to challenge 2f out, she pressed hard in the final two furlongs to take the race by a nose to the second placed horse Pretorian. Gerald Mosse said “She was not travelling strongly from a long way out so full credit to the horse for picking up and trying incredibly hard to win the race, she has such a good attitude.”
The filly made the 13 hour journey back from Baden-Baden on Monday morning and is sound and well after the race. The once 38,000gns Tattersalls Book 1 purchase is now the winner of six races to date and has picked up nearly £150,000 in prize money.
