Marco celebrated his first Royal Ascot on Wednesday when Aljazzi landed the Group 2 The Duke Of Cambridge Stakes on day two of the meeting. Blue Diamond Stud’s homebred Aljazzi ran out the fantastic winner of the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes, powering clear under a great ride by jockey William Buick to take the race by three-and-three-quarters to the second placed horse Tribute Act.
The five year old daughter of Shamardal has come out of the race well and all being well she will now be aimed at a Group 1 later on in the season. She already holds entries in the Falmouth Stakes held at Newmarket during the July festival.
