Karen joined us in June 2012, having previously worked in a similar role for the past 15 years. She is dedicated, tireless and never hesitates to give up her free time for the yard. There is nothing she cannot turn her skills to, which includes breaking in all the yearlings, organising the running of the yard, feeding and travelling horses and supervising their training schedule. In her spare time Karen has a very active role on her family farm and enjoys long walks with her dog Poppy.
Claire has been an integral part of the Marco Botti team since joining in 2006. Claire worked alongside Marco and Lucie during their time at fellow Italian trainer, Luca Cumani’s, yard. Claire is often seen taking horses to the races and representing the team. In her spare time Claire enjoys walking her border terrier.
Bill has been an influential part of the Marco Botti team since joining in January 2007, He has worked in racing all his life and was long listed for the Godolphin Stable staff awards in 2012, for services to racing. Bill is in charge of the feeding at Prestige Place and is no doubt the best chef in Newmarket. He knows each horse in detail, what they eat and how they like their food. Bill is first in each morning and last to leave of a night time. He is a real cog in the Marco Botti team. In his spare time Bill likes to spend it relaxing with his wife.
“Albi” joined the Marco Botti team in January 2013. He is in charge of the equine spa and treadmill, as treadmill manger he has a real feel for the horses and the way in which they are taking their training. Albi moved from Italy and has adapted well to the way of life in the UK and feels very much at home here. In his spare time Albi enjoys his football and is a keen AC Milan supporter.
Lukas joined the team at the start of 2016 and has been Bill’s understudy in what is a very pivotal job in any racing yard. Ensuring the horses are well fed and happy.
